Controversial Inuit artist Jonas Faber, is making a rare appearance in the United States beginning September 13, 2014. The artist, known for his bold and expressionistic sculpture, uses a beautifully veined and colored soapstone he mines on his property in British Columbia, Canada. Internationally known, Faber is sought after for his bold, personal style and creative and sensitive treatment of cultural themes and myths of the Inuit. His unique and original muskox rings and blanket toss carvings favored by collectors will be included in this exhibition.

Images of the North, established in 1979, has hosted several exhibitions featuring Faber in the past. I am excited to present his inspired sculpture to the public beginning on September 13, 2014 at 1 pm.  —Lesley Leonhardt  | CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ABOUT FABER
