"Inspiration for this work comes from ancient ivory carvings of the Bering Strait from Eskimo cultures as early as 200 AD. The Okvik torso dolls were engraved with geometric patterns of straight or curved lines. These lightly etched, incised lines decorated ivory figures in human female forms.

I believe that each person has memories etched in their soul that are inherited from their ancestors in the form of artistic, spiritual and intuitive gifts and impositions much like the DNA record that each person carries.

This wall sculpture represents my interpretation of the intricate patterns on the body with symbols representing the gifts of emotion used to embrace human potential and the power of illumination to teach spiritual clarity and the power of wisdom."
